Christopher Hauke, Jungian analyst, filmmaker and Senior Lecturer at Goldsmiths University, will be introducing a screening of the 2016 feature film Arrival. He will cover the themes from our ongoing season ‘Nationhood, Identity and the Other’ relating this specifically to the context of the alien invasion genre, as well as the idea of the limitations of language as a tool for understanding, most notably seen through the character of linguist Louise Banks (played by Amy Adams).
The film will be introduced by Christopher, and there will be time for discussion after the screening.
